Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Plan menus as per hotel standards, season, and guest preference

2. Control food cost, portion size, and wastage

3. Maintain food quality, taste, and presentation

4. Supervise kitchen staff (Sous Chef, CDP, Commis, Helpers)

5. Prepare duty roster and manage staff attendance

6. Ensure hygiene, cleanliness & food safety (HACCP/FSSAI)

7. Check daily requisition and inventory of raw materials

8. Coordinate with purchase & stores for quality supplies

9. Train kitchen staff and improve their skills

10. Handle guest complaints related to food professionally

11. Plan special menus, buffets, banquets & festivals

12. Ensure kitchen equipment maintenance and safety

13. Follow company policies and standard recipes

14. Monitor kitchen expenses and monthly food cost reports

15. Work closely with F&B Manager and Management
