Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of new products/components using SolidWorks
• Support the New Product Development (NPD) process from concept to production-ready design
• Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet specifications
• Prepare and revise engineering drawings, BOMs, and design documentation
• Assist in prototype development and design validation/testing
• Incorporate feedback from trials and inspections into design improvements
• Maintain proper version control and documentation of all design files
• Coordinate with customers/vendors on design requirements as needed
• Support the Quality Manager with New Product Development (NPD) documentation and paperwork, including PPAP, APQP, and related quality records
Requirements
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience with SolidWorks
• Experience supporting new product development (NPD) projects
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T basics
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate with production, quality, and other cross-functional teams
• Willingness to work on the shop floor when required for design validation
