Job Description
We're a Ludhiana factory making women's winter wear cardigans, jackets, kurtis, corsets, long coats. We supply wholesalers and retailers across Punjab, Delhi, Jaipur, and Kanpur.
Right now, every new design we make starts with someone handing over a Pinterest screenshot and saying "make something like this." We want to change that. We need a Fashion Designer who comes in with their own ideas each season — someone who actually watches what's moving on ramps, in Bollywood, on Zara's website — and brings that translated into designs our buyers will pick up, not editorial looks that look good in a presentation and confuse a wholesaler in Kanpur.
2 to 4 years in a garment manufacturing company. Not retail, not a boutique manufacturing. You should understand the difference between designing for a wholesale catalog and designing for a store display. Winter wear or knitwear experience is a real advantage.
Your portfolio needs to show commercial designs. Things that could actually sell in a mandi, not just look sharp in a college jury. We won't shortlist without a portfolio.
