Job Description
We are looking for an experienced OpenCart Front-End Designer who specializes in the Journal Theme and can convert modern UI designs into high-quality, responsive store layouts.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Figma-to-OpenCart conversion, pixel-perfect design implementation, and a deep understanding of front-end structure, styling, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Convert Figma designs into OpenCart (Journal Theme) layouts
Customize and manage Journal 3 theme settings, layouts, and modules
Ensure pixel-perfect UI implementation with modern, clean design
Handle complete front-end development (HTML, CSS, JS)
Maintain proper class structure, responsiveness, and design consistency
Optimize pages for speed and performance
Work on end-to-end UI/UX design execution
Ensure cross-browser and mobile compatibility
Required Skills
Strong experience with OpenCart + Journal Theme (Journal 3 preferred)
Proficiency in:
HTML/CSS
CSS3 / SCSS
JavaScript / jQuery
Experience converting Figma to live website
Good understanding of responsive design
Ability to manage layout builder and custom modules in Journal
Knowledge of UI/UX best practices
Good to Have
Experience with eCommerce UI/UX optimization
Basic understanding of OpenCart backend structure
Speed optimization knowledge (Core Web Vitals)
Experience working with multi-store setups
