Job Description
Petrochemical Plant Head / Operations ManagerA plant head, operations manager, or refinery manager oversees the entire operation and develops deep knowledge of petroleum products, production processes, and business performance.
- Key ResponsibilitiesManage overall plant operations, production targets, and profitability.
- Lead operations, maintenance, engineering, safety, and quality teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Optimize production efficiency and product yields.
- Monitor product quality and customer requirements.
- Approve operational strategies, budgets, and capital projects.
- Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and technical departments.
- Develop and mentor plant personnel.
Petroleum Product Knowledge ExpectedA plant head is typically expected to understand:
- Crude oil characteristics and classifications.
- Refining processes and petrochemical production.
