Salary: 18000-25000+ per month (Negotiable based on hath ka kaam / skill)

Shift Timings: 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Standard Factory Shift, 26 Days a month)

Job Type: Full-Time, Active On-Floor Role (Hath se kaam karne wala kaarigar)

The Main Goal of This Role (Kaam Ki Samjh)

We are looking for a rock-solid, practical Tool & Die Maker cum Press Fitter. You must know how to repair, set, and maintain progressive and single-stroke sheet metal dies for mechanical presses. You will lead a small team of 4–5 pressmen and ensure that our machines never sit idle due to die issues or breakdowns.

Your Daily Responsibilities (What you will actually do)

1. Die Development, Setting & Maintenance (Die Banaana aur Repair)

• Die Maintenance: Take full responsibility for the tool room. Repair, sharpen, and maintain sheet metal dies (stamping, blanking, forming, piercing) used for manufacturing strut accessories and hardware.

• Quick Troubleshooting: If a die fails or causes burrs/defects during a run, open it up, fix the punch or die plate quickly, and get the mechanical press running again.

• Die Fitment: Ensure proper die alignment and stroke settings on mechanical power presses to avoid tool breakage and damage.

2. Press Shop Efficiency (Production Daudaana)

• Zero Idling Time: Ensure your pressmen are not sitting idle or wasting time waiting for die repairs or setup adjustments. Your speed determines their production speed.

• Job Work & Quality Approval: Check and approve the first-off and last-off pieces from the press line before components go out for secondary job work (like zinc plating or galvanizing) or final dispatch.

• Smooth Operations: Keep the press department organized, ensuring raw sheets/coils are utilized efficiently with minimum scrap/wastage.

3. Small Team Leadership (4–5 Workers)

• Guide Pressmen: Directly manage and guide a tight team of 4–5 press operators and helpers.

• Safety & Discipline: Ensure the team operates the heavy mechanical presses safely, uses proper die guards, and maintains strict floor discipline.

Who is the Ideal Candidate? (Kaarigar Profile)

• Experience: 5 to 10+ years of solid, hands-on experience inside a sheet metal press shop or tool room in Ludhiana. Must have extensive experience with mechanical power presses.

• Core Skill: Absolute mastery over manual tools, lathes, surface grinders, and checking instruments (Vernier calipers, micrometers). You must know how to read component drawings or match dimensions based on sample parts.

• Education: ITI in Tool & Die Making is highly preferred, but true practical skill (tajurba) matters more than a degree.

• Personality: Hardworking, sharp-eyed, and a natural problem solver. This is an on-the-bench, hands-on role where you will get your hands greasy. It is not an office or computer-desk job.

• Language: Fluent Punjabi and Hindi.
