Resident Facilities, Housekeeping & Operations Manager

Location: NH-27, Sarisab-Pahi, Madhubani, Bihar – 847424
Position SummaryThe Resident Facilities, Housekeeping & Operations Manager shall reside at La Pahi Palace and be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, security, cleanliness, operational readiness, and smooth functioning of the entire property. The role requires ensuring that the property remains guest-ready at all times while supporting the General Manager in delivering exceptional hospitality and flawless event execution.
Reporting ToGeneral Manager
Primary ResponsibilityTo ensure that La Pahi Palace always remains clean, safe, functional, guest-ready, and event-ready, 24 hours a day.
Key Responsibilities
1. Property Ownership & Daily ReadinessStay on the property and ensure continuous operational readiness.
- Conduct morning, afternoon, and evening property inspections.
- Ensure all guest areas remain clean, functional, and presentable.
- Report and resolve operational issues immediately.
2. Housekeeping ManagementSupervise housekeeping operations across the entire property.
- Ensure guest rooms and bamboo cottages are ready before every check-in.
- Maintain banquet halls, lawns, washrooms, reception, kitchen, parking, and common areas to premium standards.
- Maintain housekeeping schedules and inspection checklists.
3. Facilities & MaintenanceMonitor electrical systems, plumbing, lighting, generators, ACs, water supply, pumps, furniture, fixtures, and infrastructure.
- Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out on time.
- Coordinate repairs with technicians and vendors.
- Maintain maintenance records.
4. Event ReadinessEnsure all venues are completely prepared before every wedding, engagement, conference, birthday, anniversary, or corporate event.
- Coordinate with decoration, catering, housekeeping, maintenance, and operational teams.
- Supervise event setup, execution, and post-event restoration.
5. Guest ExperienceEnsure every guest experiences a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained property.
- Respond immediately to guest requests.
- Resolve complaints relating to housekeeping, maintenance, and facilities.
- Support the General Manager in maintaining guest ratings above 4.5.
6. Team SupervisionSupervise housekeeping and support staff.
- Allocate daily work.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, grooming, and productivity.
- Train staff on cleanliness and operational standards.
7. Inventory & Asset ManagementManage housekeeping materials, linen, consumables, tools, and operational assets.
- Prevent wastage, misuse, theft, and damage.
- Report shortages and replacement requirements.
8. Security & Property ProtectionEnsure gates, rooms, cottages, stores, banquet halls, and guest areas remain secure.
- Report any suspicious activity or safety hazard immediately.
- Ensure company assets are protected at all times.
9. Daily ReportingSubmit daily reports covering:
- Housekeeping Status
- Room Readiness
- Property Inspection
- Maintenance Requirements
- Inventory Status
- Event Readiness
- Guest Complaints
- Incident Report (if any)
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Property StandardsProperty remains guest-ready at all times.
- Zero major cleanliness issues.
- Zero major maintenance negligence.

Residential Requirement
This is a residential position. The employee shall reside within the La Pahi Palace premises and shall remain available for operational support, guest requirements, emergencies, and event-related responsibilities whenever required.
Working Hours
Normal working hours shall be from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
However, being a residential position, the employee shall remain available beyond normal working hours during events, guest emergencies, operational requirements, and other business needs as directed by management.
Attendance is mandatory on the day of every event, one day prior to the event, and one day after the event.
Success in this Role
The Resident Facilities, Housekeeping & Operations Manager is the custodian of La Pahi Palace. Success will be measured by how consistently the property remains clean, operational, secure, guest-ready, and capable of delivering an exceptional hospitality experience every single day.
