Job Description
· Assisting with dispensing medications
Under a pharmacist's supervision, pharmacy assistants prepare prescriptions, measure and mix drugs, and package and label medications
· Maintaining inventory
Pharmacy assistants monitor stock levels, order supplies, and organize medications on shelves
· Providing customer service
Pharmacy assistants answer questions, provide guidance on medication use, and help customers find what they need
· Handling cash
Pharmacy assistants use a cash register and handle cash transactions.
· Adhering to regulations
Pharmacy assistants adhere to pharmacy regulations, ethical standards, and patient confidentiality
