We are seeking a versatile and energetic Fast-Food Preparation Chef to join the team at DO 'N' DI Cafe. We specialize in high-quality fast-food items including pizza, tacos, sandwich, shakes, waffle, and smoothies etc, serving both our in-person cafe guests and a high volume of online delivery orders. In this role, you will be responsible for the rapid preparation of our core menu items, ensuring every pizza is perfectly topped and baked, tacos are assembled with fresh ingredients, and smoothies are blended to perfection. You will be the heartbeat of our kitchen, managing the seamless integration of online platform orders with the needs of customers walking through our door. This means monitoring digital tickets while also welcoming in-person guests, taking orders directly from customers at the counter when needed, and ensuring those dining in have a great experience. Beyond cooking, you will be responsible for carefully packing takeaway orders, double-checking accuracy against receipts, and organizing completed orders for pickup. This position also involves crucial store management tasks such as monitoring ingredient inventory, receiving deliveries, maintaining a strict "clean as you go" policy, and performing opening or closing duties. As a growing cafe, we need a team player who is adaptable and willing to assist with other tasks as needed, such as testing new recipes or managing waste disposal.

The ideal candidate has at least 1-3 years of experience in a fast-food restaurant, pizzeria, or high-volume cafe, with specific experience in pizza oven operation and blender maintenance being a must. You should possess the speed and efficiency to work quickly without sacrificing quality, and the multitasking ability to juggle multiple orders simultaneously. A friendly demeanour and willingness to interact with cafe guests are essential, as you will often be the face of our kitchen. Comfort with technology, such as using tablets to view digital orders, is essential, as is a strong sense of organization to keep a small kitchen tidy and stocked. We are looking for a reliable individual who remains calm under pressure during lunch rushes, is a natural team player, and maintains punctuality to ensure our takeaway and dine-in operations run smoothly. A Food Safety Certification and experience with POS systems are preferred but not required.
