CO2 Welder

A Welder is responsible for assembling and repairing metal structures and components through various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding. The role involves reading blueprints, selecting proper materials, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring high-quality metal joints used in construction, manufacturing, and mechanical systems.

• Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Determine the appropriate materials, equipment, and techniques for each project.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and related tools.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding processes in multiple positions (flat, vertical, or overhead).
• Inspect completed welds for quality, precision, and structural integrity.
• Perform minor repairs or modifications on welded assemblies.
• Adhere to OSHA and company safety protocols at all times.
• Maintain clean worksites and proper equipment storage.
• Required Skills and QualificationsProficiency in MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW), or Flux-Cored welding.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and shop tools (grinders, cutters, torches).
• Knowledge of metallurgy, material tolerances, and safety standards.
• Good physical stamina, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.
