Job Description:
Role Overview
- We are looking for a Senior Manager – Backend Operations to lead and manage a growing team of Backend Operations Executives supporting our trading and financial operations. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with 8–10 years of experience in finance, operations, and client servicing — and a strong interest or prior exposure to financial markets, trading, and derivative instruments (CFDs preferred).
- This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role that involves overseeing operational processes, ensuring financial accuracy and regulatory compliance, and driving service excellence in a fast-paced, dynamic trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
· Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Backend Operations Executives.
· Define team goals, KPIs, and operational benchmarks; monitor performance and provide coaching and feedback.
· Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Financial Operations & Oversight
· Oversee all client financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, reconciliations, and account adjustments.
· Ensure accurate reporting, account maintenance, and compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.
· Manage daily reconciliation of client accounts and coordinate closely with the Finance & Compliance teams.
Client Support & Escalation Management
- Act as the point of escalation for complex client issues related to trading activity, account discrepancies, and fund movements.
- Ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met across all client communications (email, chat, support tickets).
Process & Compliance
- Ensure all operational activities adhere to regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with Technology, Compliance, Risk, and Finance teams to streamline backend workflows and troubleshoot operational bottlenecks.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Drive data-driven decision-making through advanced Excel-based reporting and analysis.
- Maintain and improve dashboards and reports related to operations, client fund flows, and reconciliation metrics.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Must be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8–10 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong working knowledge of financial markets, preferably in CFDs, forex, or derivative trading environments.
- Proven experience in team leadership, financial operations, and client servicing.
- Expertise in accounting, reconciliation, and process control in a high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data modeling, financial reporting).
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, audit controls, and operational compliance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
