Job Description
Job Description (JD) – Indian Curry Commis
- Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, spices and gravies for Indian curry dishes.
- Cook and prepare curries according to standard recipes and portion specifications.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation and quality of all dishes.
- Maintain proper storage and labeling of raw materials and prepared food.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and food safety standards.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the senior chef about shortages.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the curry section, equipment and workstations.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
- Support senior chefs during peak service hours.
- Follow all kitchen SOPs, HACCP and company hygiene standards.
- Assist in receiving and checking kitchen supplies when required.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
