🔧 Welder – Job Profile & Responsibilities  

Location: SARCOM Manufacturing Unit, MK Technology Park, Mohali  

Reporting to: Production Supervisor / Quality Control Head  

Department: Fabrication & Assembly

🎯 Role Overview  

The Welder is responsible for precision welding of metal components used in cable trays, raceways, earthing materials, AC stands, and C channels. This role demands technical skill, safety awareness, and a commitment to quality that reflects SARCOM’s reputation for excellence.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities  

• Read and interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and welding specifications  

• Measure, cut, and prepare metal components using hand tools, plasma cutters, and grinders  

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Arc welding based on material type and structural needs  

• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions  

• Use clamps, braces, and jigs to align parts before welding  

• Inspect welds for strength, accuracy, and finish  

• Conduct visual and mechanical tests to ensure compliance with SARCOM standards  

• Operate welding equipment safely and maintain tools in top condition  

• Follow PPE protocols and fire safety norms  

• Coordinate with supervisors and quality inspectors for timely project completion  

• Support junior welders and assist in training when required

📚 Qualifications & Skills  

• Minimum 1–2 years of welding experience in industrial fabrication  

• Familiarity with copper, galvanized steel, and powder-coated materials  

• Ability to read engineering drawings and BOQ sheets  

• Certification in welding (ITI or equivalent) preferred  

• Strong attention to detail, discipline, and safety-first mindset
