Job Summary
The Solar Project Sales Operations Executive supports the sales and execution process of solar energy projects by coordinating between customers, sales teams, vendors, and project execution departments. The role involves handling quotations, project documentation, customer coordination, order processing, sales tracking, and ensuring smooth operational support for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Operations
• Prepare and manage proposals, quotations, and commercial offers for solar projects.
• Support the sales team with technical and commercial documentation.
• Maintain CRM records, sales reports, and customer databases.
• Track leads, inquiries, and project status from enquiry to closure.
• Coordinate with finance for payment follow-ups and invoicing.
2. Project Coordination
• Coordinate with engineering and installation teams for project execution timelines.
• Ensure all required project documents and approvals are completed.
• Monitor project progress and update customers regularly.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers for material availability and dispatch schedules.
3. Customer Handling
• Respond to customer queries regarding solar systems, pricing, subsidies, and installation timelines.
• Conduct follow-ups with prospective and existing clients.
• Ensure customer satisfaction throughout project lifecycle.
4. Documentation & Compliance
• Prepare contracts, work orders, and project files.
• Maintain records related to net metering, subsidies, and regulatory approvals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
5. Reporting & Analysis
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly sales and project status reports.
• Analyze sales data and operational performance to improve efficiency.
• Assist management in forecasting and planning activities.
6. Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Renewable Energy, Marketing, or related field.
• Diploma/Certification in Solar Energy is an added advantage.
7. Required Skills
• Good understanding of solar EPC projects and rooftop solar systems.
• Strong communication and customer coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and CRM software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Knowledge of solar subsidy and net-metering procedures preferred.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
8. Experience
• 1–5 years of experience in solar industry sales coordination, operations, or project support preferred.
• Freshers with strong technical and communication skills may also apply.
