Job Description


Key Job Responsibilities

1. Personal Accounts Management

  • Maintain and manage personal financial records, books of accounts, and supporting documentation.
  • Record and reconcile all receipts, payments, investments, loans, and other financial transactions.
  • Monitor bank accounts and prepare periodic bank reconciliations.
  • Track personal assets, liabilities, investments, and expenses.
  • Coordinate with bankers, financial advisors, and other stakeholders regarding financial matters.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial summaries and reports.
  • Ensure proper filing and maintenance of financial records and supporting documents.

2. IPF (Investment / Donations / Expenses) Accounts Management

  • Maintain accurate records of all IPF-related receipts, payments, investments, and withdrawals.
  • Reconcile IPF accounts on a periodic basis.
  • Monitor fund balances and ensure compliance with applicable accounting policies and regulations.
  • Prepare statements, schedules, and reports relating to IPF accounts.
  • Assist in audits, inspections, and compliance reviews relating to IPF funds.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record retention for all transactions.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory authorities as required.

3. Taxation and Regulatory Compliance

  • Prepare and file Income Tax Returns (ITR) for individuals, firms, and other entities as assigned.
  • Handle advance tax calculations and timely payment of tax liabilities.
  • Prepare and reconcile TDS returns and ensure timely deposit of TDS.
  • Monitor tax notices, assessments, and departmental communications.
  • Assist in responding to notices from the Income Tax Department, GST authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain tax records and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws.
  • Coordinate with Chartered Accountants, tax consultants, and legal advisors on taxation matters.
  • Track changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure timely implementation.

4. Accounting and Financial Reporting

  • Pass accounting entries and maintain books in accounting software.
  • Prepare ledgers, trial balances, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts.
  • Prepare MIS reports, cash flow statements, and financial summaries.
  • Monitor receivables, payables, and outstanding balances.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records.

5. Compliance and Documentation

  • Maintain statutory records and financial documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
  • Assist in statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and personal information.
  • Develop and maintain organized filing systems, both physical and electronic.

6. Coordination and Administrative Support

  • Liaise with banks, government departments, consultants, auditors, and other external agencies.
  • Follow up on financial, taxation, and compliance matters.
  • Support management in financial planning and budgeting activities.
  • Perform any other accounting, finance, or taxation-related tasks assigned from time to time.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of experience in accounting and taxation.
  • Working knowledge of Income Tax, TDS, GST, and financial compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or other accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Accuracy of books and financial records.
  • Timely completion of reconciliations and reporting.
  • Timely filing of tax returns and statutory compliances.
  • Zero or minimal compliance defaults and penalties.
  • Effective management of IPF and personal account records.
  • Timely closure of audit and taxation-related requirements.
