Job Description

  • AutoCAD Draftsman Key Duties:


  • Creating Technical Drawings: Developing detailed blueprints, schematics, and layouts for buildings, MEP systems using Autodesk AutoCAD software.
  • Collaborating with Engineers/Architects: Reviewing rough sketches, notes, and initial designs from the engineering team and transforming them into standardized digital plans.
  • Revising Drawings: Updating existing blueprints based on site modifications, client feedback, or design changes ("as-built" drawings).
  • Material Specification: Calculating dimensions, limitations, and material requirements to ensure the design is structurally sound and practical to build.
  • Cost Estimation: Analyzing project blueprints (often the ones made by the draftsman!) to estimate the total quantity of materials.
  • Preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ): Creating detailed itemized lists of materials, parts required for a project.
  • Invoice & Bill Generation: Preparing accurate invoices for clients based on project milestones, work completed, or contracts.
