Job SummaryThe Carpenter is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing wooden structures, furniture, and fixtures within the hotel premises. The role ensures all carpentry-related work is completed efficiently to maintain high standards of safety, aesthetics, and guest satisfaction.

• Key Responsibilities1. Maintenance & RepairsRepair and maintain wooden furniture such as beds, chairs, tables, cabinets, and wardrobes.
• Fix doors, windows, locks, hinges, and partitions.
• Attend breakdown complaints from rooms and common areas promptly.
• 2. Installation WorkInstall new furniture, fixtures, and wooden fittings as required.
• Assist in renovation and refurbishment projects.
• 3. Preventive MaintenanceConduct regular inspections of wooden fixtures and fittings.
• Identify potential issues and carry out preventive repairs.
• 4. Polishing & FinishingPerform polishing, varnishing, laminating, and finishing work.
• Ensure all work meets hotel aesthetic standards.
• 5. CoordinationWork closely with the maintenance and housekeeping team.
• Coordinate with vendors for material procurement if required.
• 6. Safety & ComplianceFollow safety procedures and use tools properly.
• Ensure work area is clean and hazard-free.
• Skills & RequirementsProven experience as a carpenter (preferably in hotel/hospitality sector).
• Knowledge of carpentry tools, machines, and materials.
• Ability to read basic drawings and measurements.
• Understanding of polishing, laminates, and finishing work.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance operations.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual work.
