Designation: CCTV Operator

A. Qualification

• Minimum HSC / Graduate or equivalent qualification.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with CCTV monitoring systems.
• Experience in security surveillance or CCTV operations preferred.

B. Reporting To

• Chief Security Officer (CSO) / Security In-Charge

C. Job Summary

The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring and operating the hospital's surveillance system to ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, visitors, and hospital property. The role involves continuous observation of CCTV cameras, reporting suspicious activities, maintaining records, and coordinating with security, engineering, and management during emergencies.

D. Key Responsibilities

1.   Maintain a neat, clean, and proper uniform while on duty and follow hospital discipline at all times.

2.   Continuously monitor CCTV cameras across all hospital floors and areas for any suspicious person, activity, or unattended articles.

3.   Maintain a register of all persons entering the CCTV room, recording date, time, name, and purpose of visit.

4.   Record fire alarm alerts or beeps in the register and immediately verify the reason with the concerned department.

5.   Inform the Engineering Department promptly in case of any fire alarm alert or technical issue.

6.   Maintain strict vigilance over digital safe lockers and sensitive equipment kept in the CCTV room.

7.   Ensure proper handover and takeover of duty, including briefing the next operator about incidents or observations.

8.   Ensure that all CCTV cameras, recorders, and related equipment are operational at all times.

9.   Immediately report any malfunction or failure of CCTV equipment in writing to the Engineering or concerned department.

10. Assist police or investigation authorities by providing CCTV recordings or footage when required, with approval from the Chief Security Officer (CSO).

11. Maintain confidentiality of surveillance information and recordings at all times.

12.Be familiar with all hospital emergency codes and respond appropriately during emergencies.

13.Participate in training sessions, safety drills, and debriefing programs organized by hospital management or the security agency.

14.Maintain proper logs, registers, and incident reports related to surveillance activities.

F. Training & Compliance

• Rotational shifts.
• Work within hospital premises.
