Collection Officer

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Collection Executive / Collection Officer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in collections, preferably in the banking, NBFC, financial services, or loan recovery sector. The candidate will be responsible for managing overdue accounts, following up with customers, achieving collection targets, and ensuring timely recovery of outstanding payments.

• Key ResponsibilitiesHandle collection and recovery of overdue loan/EMI payments.
• Contact customers through calls and field visits for payment follow-ups.
• Achieve monthly collection and recovery targets.
• Maintain regular follow-up with delinquent customers.
• Understand customer payment issues and provide suitable payment solutions.
• Negotiate repayment plans wherever required, as per company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, commitments, and payments.
• Update collection status and daily reports in the company system.
• Coordinate with the collection team and reporting manager for difficult cases.
• Identify high-risk and habitual defaulters and escalate cases appropriately.
• Ensure professional and respectful communication with customers.
• Follow all company policies, collection procedures, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
• Submit daily/weekly collection reports to the reporting manager.
• Required SkillsMinimum 2+ years of experience in collections/recovery.
• Experience in NBFC, Banking, Loan, Microfinance, or Financial Services will be preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Good customer-handling and convincing abilities.
• Target-oriented and self-motivated.
• Ability to handle pressure and achieve collection targets.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to use MS Office/collection software.
• Knowledge of local language is preferred.
• Willingness to travel for field collection activities, if required.
