Job Description
- Key Responsibilities
- Prepare pastries, cakes, desserts, chocolates, ganache, sauces, fillings, and bakery items as per recipes and SOPs.
- Assist the pastry chef in daily pastry and chocolate production.
- Handle chocolate tempering, molding, decorating, and finishing work.
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, quality, and presentation.
- Support in cake finishing, plating, and garnishing.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry kitchen and workstations.
- Follow FIFO, food safety, and company hygiene standards.
- Monitor stock levels and inform seniors about shortages.
- Store ingredients and finished products properly.
- Handle bakery and pastry equipment safely and efficiently.
- RequirementsMinimum 2–4 years of experience in Pastry & Chocolate section.
- Knowledge of baking, pastry preparation, and chocolate work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Hotel Management / Bakery & Confectionery qualification preferred.
- Preferred SkillsKnowledge of cakes, pastries, pralines, truffles, and dessert plating.
- Creative decoration and presentation skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
