Chairside & Procedure Assistance

• Provide chairside assistance to dentists and oral surgeons during a variety of restorative, endodontic, and periodontal procedures utilizing 4-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and set up specialized dental trays, materials, and equipment according to patient needs and dentist preferences.
• Mix filling materials, apply topical anesthetics, and fabricate temporary crowns or dental appliances. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

Sterilization & Infection Control

• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, sterilization protocols, and OSHA guidelines to ensure a sterile and safe environment for staff and patients.
• Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments, handpieces, and laboratory equipment, keeping detailed logs of sterilization cycles

Radiography & Diagnostics

• Take and process high-quality digital X-rays, panoramic radiographs, and 3D imaging for accurate diagnostic purposes.
• Assist the dentist with patient evaluations and carefully transcribe doctor notes and dental charting into electronic health records (EHR). [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Patient Care & Education

• Welcome and seat patients, ensuring their comfort, managing dental anxiety, and answering questions about treatment plans.
