KKALA — Kailash Kher Academy for Learning Arts — is a performing arts institution in Mumbai offering structured programmes in Hindustani Vocals, Dance (Kathak, Odissi, Ballet, etc.), Music Instruments (Piano, Guitar, Tabla), Sound Engineering, Music Production, and Theatre.
Founded by and named after acclaimed Indian music artist Padma Shri Kailash Kher, KKALA operates on a gurukul philosophy — knowledge as sacred, discipline as non-negotiable, and enrolment as a privilege. We are not a casual music class. We are building something serious.

THE ROLE
We are looking for a sharp, execution-driven Social Media and Performance Marketing Executive to own KKALA's digital presence in-house. This is a hands-on role — you will plan and execute content, run paid campaigns across Meta and Google, track performance rigorously, and work directly with our Creative Head and Videographer to keep a disciplined content calendar moving.
This role replaces our current agency model. We are bringing this capability in-house because we need someone embedded in the institution — someone who understands the brand deeply, moves faster, and is accountable to outcomes, not retainers.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN
- End-to-end social media management across all KKALA verticals and handles on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube and other social media channels.
- Monthly content calendar — planning, briefing, scheduling, and publishing across all platforms
- Performance marketing — paid campaigns on Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads covering lead generation, awareness, and retargeting for all disciplines
- Daily tracker hygiene — updating the digital marketing ops workflow tracker and maintaining the Ads & Boost tracker
- Weekly performance report to COO — leads generated, cost per lead, campaign ROI, reach, and recommended actions
- Briefing the in-house videographer on shoot requirements; coordinating with the Creative Head on assets and brand consistency
- Coordinating faculty content — ensuring minimum 2 posts per faculty per month make it from creation to live
- Pre-launch campaigns for new disciplines and courses as they are activated
- WhatsApp broadcast coordination for lead nurturing and batch announcements
- SEO and Google presence — monthly organic visibility monitoring and basic on-page updates

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 2 – 3 years of demonstrated experience in social media management and performance marketing (agency or in-house)
- Hands-on proficiency with Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads — you have run campaigns, read results, and optimised independently
- Strong Instagram-first sensibility — Reels, content formats, timing, and audience behaviour
- Ability to write captions that match an institution's tone — premium, disciplined, aspirational — not casual or clickbait
- Comfort with analytics — you read numbers, draw conclusions, and act without being told to
- Experience coordinating with videographers and creative teams on briefs, timelines, and assets
- Organised and self-driven — you maintain trackers, meet deadlines, and do not require hand-holding
- Genuine interest in arts, culture, or music is a plus

- Experience marketing an education brand, performing arts institution, or premium lifestyle product
- Familiarity with YouTube content strategy — organic growth, SEO, and community building
- Basic video editing or Canva-level design capability
- Prior exposure to CRM-led marketing or lead funnel management

PERFORMANCE TARGETS
You will be held to clear, measurable outcomes from month one:
- Cost per qualified lead: below Rs. 500
- Minimum 30 qualified leads per month across all verticals
- Content calendar fully populated and live without gaps across all verticals
- Weekly performance report submitted every Monday without follow-up
