Job Summary

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting,

troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, equipment, and machinery

to ensure safe and efficient operation. The technician performs preventive and corrective

maintenance activities in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

 Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on electrical equipment and

machinery.

 Inspect electrical systems, DG, motors, control panels, transformers, switchgear, and

distribution systems.

 Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.

 Install, test, and commission electrical equipment and wiring systems.

 Conduct routine inspections and maintain maintenance records.

 Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company procedures.

 Maintain tools, test equipment, and spare parts inventory.

Required Skills

 Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, motors, drives, and control systems.

 Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.

 Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

 Understanding of electrical safety procedures and lockout/tagout practices.

 Good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

 Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering/Electrician Trade.

 Certification or license as required by local regulations.

 2–5 years of experience in industrial, building maintenance, or facility maintenance

environments.
