Food Technology Specialist

Job Summary: The Food Safety Supervisor will oversee and ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality protocols within the food production/processing/service facility. This role involves supervising staff, monitoring processes, and ensuring that all food items meet safety and quality standards before reaching consumers.

• Key Responsibilities: Monitor and enforce food safety and hygiene standards across operations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of the kitchen, storage, preparation, and serving areas.
• Ensure compliance with relevant food safety laws, regulations, and standards.
• Develop, implement, and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food handling, storage, cooking, and serving.
• Train and supervise kitchen/food service staff on hygiene practices, personal hygiene, sanitation, and safe food handling.
• Oversee cleaning schedules, pest control, waste management, and cleaning of equipment/utensils.
• Manage records related to food safety checks, temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and audit reports.
• Report violations/concerns to management and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate with the internal quality assurance team and external regulatory bodies (if applicable).
• Ensure proper labelling, storage, and disposal of perishable items.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
