Role Summary
- Position Title: General Manager – Western Region Operations & Business Development
- Location: Andheri East, Mumbai (Chunawala Industrial Estate)
- Experience Required: 8-12 years of proven track record in the industrial printing, coding, marking, or packaging machinery industry.
- Employment Type: Full-time
The General Manager will have total P&L responsibility for the Western Region. This leadership role involves driving regional sales strategies, overseeing technical support/service delivery, managing regional inventory (spares & consumables), and leading an energetic team to win customer confidence across Maharashtra and neighboring territories.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Strategic Growth
- Formulate and execute aggressive sales plans to expand market share for our CIJ, TIJ, TTO, and Laser printer lines in the western region.
- Establish and nurture high-value relationships with major corporate accounts in FMCG, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing.
- Identify new market segments and industrial applications for specialized batch printing and handling systems.
2. Operational & P&L Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Andheri East office, ensuring cross-functional alignment between sales, service, and administration.
- Manage the regional budget, operational expenditures, and revenue targets to ensure profitable regional growth.
- Optimize regional supply chain efficiency, focusing on steady inventory levels for critical printer spares and fast-drying industrial consumables.
3. Service Excellence & Customer Retention
- Lead and support the technical service team to maintain top-tier SLAs for on-site repairs, preventative care, and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs).
- Monitor regional customer satisfaction metrics, ensuring minimal downtime and proactive problem resolution for our client base.
4. Leadership & People Development
- Cultivate a high-performance, metrics-driven team culture centered around customer success and technical competence.
- Mentor, train, and structurally evaluate regional sales engineers and technical service professionals.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Industry Experience: Minimum 8-12 years of active experience within the industrial printing, batch coding, marking, or packaging machinery industry. Deep domain knowledge of industrial inkjet systems or packaging automation is mandatory.
- Geographical Familiarity: Strong corporate network and understanding of industrial manufacturing clusters across Mumbai, Pune, and the wider western region.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electronics/Instrumentation) or a related technical field. An MBA or post-graduate degree in Business Management is highly preferred.
- Leadership Capabilities: Demonstrated experience managing a branch office or a regional P&L, with proven capability in scaling teams and revenue.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to interface comfortably at the C-suite level.
