Job Title: Gents Tailor (Formal Shirts & Trousers Cutting)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Gents Tailor specializing in cutting formal shirts and trousers. The candidate should be experienced in taking measurements, preparing accurate patterns, fabric cutting, and ensuring garments are cut according to customer specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take accurate body measurements of customers.
• Cut fabrics for formal shirts and trousers as per patterns and measurements.
• Prepare and modify patterns based on customer requirements.
• Ensure proper fabric utilization with minimal wastage.
• Mark and label cut pieces for stitching.
• Inspect fabric for defects before cutting.
• Coordinate with stitching and finishing teams to ensure perfect garment fitting.
• Make pattern adjustments for alterations or custom orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cutting area.
• Follow production schedules and deliver work on time.

Required Skills:

• Expertise in cutting men's formal shirts and trousers.
• Knowledge of garment measurements, fitting, and pattern making.
• Ability to work with different types of fabrics.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Good understanding of tailoring tools and cutting equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality.

Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent (preferred).
• Certification in tailoring or fashion design is an added advantage.

Experience:

• 5 years of experience as a Gents Tailor specializing in cutting formal shirts and trousers.
• Experience in a boutique, tailoring shop, or garment manufacturing unit is preferred.
