Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical knowledge, a focus on safety, and excellent customer service skills.

• Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation: Install new HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and controls according to specifications and local building codes.
• Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance on commercial/residential heating and cooling systems to ensure peak performance.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, repair or replace defective components, and recharge refrigerant levels safely.
• Inspection: Inspect systems, test components (valves, thermostats, wiring), and evaluate energy efficiency to identify potential issues before they cause downtime.
• Customer Communication: Explain technical issues and repair options clearly to clients/building managers and provide maintenance recommendations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs of service calls, maintenance records, parts used, and work orders completed.
• Safety Standards: Adhere strictly to company safety procedures, environmental standards, and regulations (including proper EPA handling of refrigerants).
• Requirements & Qualifications
• Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED required. Technical/vocational school training or apprenticeship in HVAC is preferred.
• Certifications: Valid EPA Universal Certification (Section 608) required. State/local HVAC license is a plus.
• Experience: [X] years of hands-on experience in servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial or residential HVAC systems.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, pressure gauges, and diagnostic tools.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in tight spaces (attics, crawl spaces), and work on ladders/roofs as needed.
• Driving: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
