Location: Goregaon, Mumbai (Work from Office – Back Office)

Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹19,000 per month

Experience Required: Minimum 1 year

About the Role

Nidhi Decor Pvt Ltd is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our back-office team in Goregaon. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, hands-on experience with Tally, and the willingness to learn Odoo for day-to-day accounting operations. Training on Odoo will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Pass journal entries (JE) accurately and on time

Handle payment reconciliation across bank accounts and vendor/customer ledgers

Maintain and update sales and purchase records

Conduct weekly review of receivables and payables, ensuring timely follow-ups

Prepare and process credit notes and debit notes as required

Maintain accurate books of accounts and supporting documentation

Coordinate with internal teams for invoice clarifications, payment status, and ledger confirmations

Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities

Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and statutory requirements

Required Skills

Tally – proficient in day-to-day accounting entries and reports

Odoo – training will be provided; willingness to learn is a must

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (debits, credits, ledgers, reconciliations)

Knowledge of GST, TDS basics is a plus

Good working knowledge of MS Excel

Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

Ability to manage time and meet weekly review deadlines

Eligibility

B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification preferred

Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar accounting role

Must be able to work from our Goregaon back office
