Title: Line Cook (Continental & Pizza Section)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook with experience in continental cuisine and pizza-making to join the kitchen team at Queen Margherita’s Pizzeria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supporting smooth kitchen operations, and maintaining consistency in taste, hygiene, and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook continental dishes as per menu standards and recipes.
• Assist in pizza preparation, including dough handling, sauce application, topping setup, and baking.
• Ensure proper food preparation techniques, portioning, and plating consistency.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned workstation.
• Follow kitchen SOPs, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Support daily prep work, including cutting, marinating, and ingredient portioning.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to senior kitchen staff.
• Work closely with chefs and kitchen team during service hours for smooth operations.
• Ensure minimal food wastage through proper storage and handling practices.

Required Skills:

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of continental cuisine.
• Hands-on experience in pizza preparation and baking techniques.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and prep tools.
• Good time management and ability to multitask under pressure.
• Attention to detail in food quality and presentation.
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Line Cook / Commis in a restaurant or pizzeria.
• Culinary training or hospitality background is preferred.
• Experience in continental and pizza section will be an advantage.

• Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
