About the Role:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in the shipping or shipyard industry to handle quotation preparation and cost estimation for ship repair projects. The role involves working closely with defence clients such as the Indian Navy and Coast Guard, ensuring accurate, timely, and competitive quotations on behalf of MBT.

• Key Responsibilities:Prepare detailed and accurate quotations for ship repair and maintenance projects for vessels operated by the Indian Navy and Coast Guard.
• Analyze technical specifications, tender documents, and scope of work related to marine repair projects.
• Coordinate with technical teams, vendors, and shipyards to obtain cost inputs and timelines.
• Evaluate material, labor, and operational costs to develop competitive pricing strategies.
• Maintain updated cost databases and historical records of past quotations and projects.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure compliance with company policies and client requirements.
• Assist in tender submissions, documentation, and follow-ups with clients.
• Monitor ongoing projects (where required) to compare estimated vs. actual costs for future improvements.
• Stay updated on industry trends, ship repair standards, and defence procurement procedures.
• Eligibility Criteria:Preferably a local candidate based in Mumbai.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in shipyard operations, marine services, or shipping industry.
• Prior experience in preparing quotations or cost estimations for ship repair works is essential.
• Familiarity with defence sector procedures (Indian Navy / Coast Guard) will be an added advantage.
• Required Skills:Strong understanding of ship repair processes and marine systems.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills for cost estimation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and documentation tools.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Compensation:Salary: ₹50,000 per month (negotiable based on experience and expertise).
• Work Location & Environment:Based at MBT Head Office, Mumbai.
• Office-based role with potential coordination visits to shipyards or client locations if required.
