Job Description

2D & 3D Product Modeling: Build complete 3D assemblies and component models for modular lab furniture, island benches, fume hoods, and storage units.

​Sheet Metal Design & DFM: Design enclosures, chassis, and duct connections optimized for sheet metal fabrication (laser cutting, bending, press brake, welding, and powder coating).

​Component Selection: Select and integrate hardware, motion slides, hinges, sash counterweight mechanisms, and chemical-resistant utility fittings.

​Layout & Utility Integration: Design 3D lab space layouts incorporating utility routings (gas lines, water, drainage, electrical trunking, and exhaust ducting connections).

​BOM & Prototype Testing: Create detailed Bill of Materials (BOM), supervise prototype fabrication, and test assemblies for mechanical fit, form, and ergonomics.

​Cross-Team Coordination: Work closely with design engineers for fluid/airflow specs and draftsman teams for 2D fabrication drawing outputs.
