Sales Executive – The Ké Concept

About The Ké ConceptThe Ké Concept is a Mumbai-based home décor brand offering a curated range of design-led products for the home. We operate through a studio-based retail experience, B2B wholesale to retail partners, and a growing e-commerce presence. We are a small, design-driven team and expect everyone who joins us to take genuine ownership of their work.


Role Overview:

We are looking for a driven, self-starting Sales Executive who will report directly to the Founder and operate across three fronts: proactively building a wholesale retail network across Mumbai, managing in-studio client experience and sales, and owning our end-to-end e-commerce operations. This is a hands-on role with direct revenue accountability and significant room to grow.


Key Responsibilities:

B2B Retail Sales (Outbound)

  • Independently research and identify potential retail stockists — home décor stores, lifestyle boutiques, concept stores, gift shops — across Mumbai
  • Initiate contact through cold calls, emails, and in-person store visits; pitch the brand and product range to buyers and store owners
  • Travel to client locations across Mumbai for meetings and follow-ups (travel costs reimbursed)
  • Follow up consistently to convert leads, negotiate terms, and close orders
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing retail partners; manage reorders and resolve issues proactively

Studio Sales & Client Management (Inbound)

  • Receive walk-in clients at our studio; present the product range effectively and guide purchase decisions
  • Handle complete billing, invoicing, and order documentation for studio sales
  • Maintain a professional, on-brand in-studio experience at all times
  • Manage client records, follow up on pending decisions, and drive repeat purchases

E-Commerce Operations

  • Own end-to-end product cataloguing: coordinating photography, writing product descriptions, uploading and managing listings, maintaining accurate inventory levels online
  • Monitor sales performance and generate regular reports on traffic, conversions, revenue, and top-performing products
  • Coordinate with logistics partners for order fulfilment and customer communication
  • Identify opportunities to improve listings, pricing, and presentation based on performance data

Supplier & Inventory Coordination

  • Liaise with suppliers to track incoming goods, confirm dispatch timelines, and manage stock receipt
  • Coordinate between incoming inventory and active sales orders to prevent fulfilment delays
  • Flag and follow up on any discrepancies in order quality or quantity


What We're Looking For:

Must-Have

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a sales role (B2B, retail, or e-commerce — any format)
  • Strong spoken and written English; clear and professional communication is non-negotiable
  • Proficient with a laptop and Microsoft Office tools — particularly Excel for reporting and tracking, and Outlook or similar for email management
  • Ability to conduct independent research online — finding leads, sourcing market information, benchmarking competitors
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative without constant supervision
  • Comfortable with physical client visits across Mumbai

Good to Have

  • Prior experience in home décor, lifestyle, furniture, or any design-adjacent industry
  • Familiarity with any e-commerce platform (Shopify, Amazon, Flipkart, or similar)
  • Experience with catalogue management or coordinating product photography
  • Working knowledge of any CRM or sales tracking tool
  • Existing relationships with retail buyers in the lifestyle or home décor space

  • Variable incentive: Performance-linked bonus based on total sales achieved
  • This role has a clear growth path — the right candidate can grow into a Sales Manager role as the team and business scale
