Senior Accountant

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant responsible for managing GST filings, billing, and payment follow-ups. The role requires strong coordination with Chartered Accountants and internal teams to ensure financial compliance and timely collections. Candidates with prior experience in a CA firm will have a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and filing of GST returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws
• Handling GST payments, reconciliations, and responding to notices, if any
• Managing end-to-end billing processes, including invoice generation and tracking
• Undertaking rigorous payment follow-ups with clients to ensure timely collections
• Maintaining accounts receivable records and monitoring outstanding dues
• Coordinating with external Chartered Accountants for compliance, audits, and advisory matters
• Assisting in financial documentation, reporting, and record maintenance
• Supporting internal teams with financial data and status updates on receivables

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and GST compliance
• Prior experience with a CA firm will be an added advantage
• Strong understanding of GST laws, returns, and compliance processes
• Experience in billing, invoicing, and payment recovery follow-ups is essential
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, or similar) and MS Excel
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for client follow-ups
• High level of accuracy, accountability, and ownership
