Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and analytical Marketing & Business Development Manager with 8–12 years of experience in tin product / metal products to drive growth, expand market share, and strengthen our customer base. The role combines strategic sales planning, new customer acquisition, new market development and market analysis. The ideal candidate will be confident, solution‑driven, and comfortable working with SAP and other ERP systems in a fast‑paced industrial environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans for mechanical tin products, aligned with business targets and market opportunities.
  • Identify market synergy across segments (processed food, dairy, protein powder, paint, industrial packaging) and convert them into revenue growth initiatives.
  • Lead new customer acquisition efforts, including prospecting, qualification, needs assessment, and end‑to‑end relationship management from enquiry to order closure.
  • Manage and grow key accounts and new customer portfolios, ensuring high service levels, on‑time delivery, and long‑term retention.
  • Conduct market analysis to understand customer requirements, competitor positioning, pricing trends, and emerging opportunities in the tin and metal packaging space.
  • Leverage ERP systems (SAP) for sales planning, order processing, inventory visibility, pricing validation, and commercial reporting.
  • Collaborate with production, planning, quality, and logistics teams to align capacity, lead times, and product specifications with customer expectations.
  • Drive cross‑selling and up‑selling within existing accounts, focusing on tailored tin‑based packaging and industrial metal solutions.
  • Prepare and present commercial proposals, quotations, and contract terms, ensuring clear and effective communication with technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and client meetings to build the brand and generate qualified leads in manufacturing, EPC, and engineering sectors.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM/SAP, track sales pipelines, and deliver regular performance reports to senior management.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and commercial regulations in all customer interactions.

  • SAP Sales & Inventory Management "Utilize SAP-driven sales and inventory management systems to streamline operations, improve visibility, and enhance decision-making."
  • CRM Pipeline Management "Maintain robust CRM pipeline management to track opportunities, monitor performance, and accelerate deal closures."
  • Cross-selling & Upselling Strategies "Implement cross-selling and upselling strategies that increase wallet share and deepen customer engagement."
  • Trade Shows & Industry Exhibitions "Represent the brand at trade shows and industry exhibitions, generating qualified leads and reinforcing market presence."
  • Food-grade Packaging Compliance "Ensure strict adherence to food-grade packaging compliance standards, safeguarding product integrity and consumer trust."

  • Supply Chain Coordination "Coordinate seamlessly with supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery, optimized logistics, and customer satisfaction."

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Sales & Business Development:
  • Proven experience in B2B sales and business development of mechanical / industrial tin or metal products.
  • Strong understanding of industrial packaging, tin containers, and related manufacturing processes.
  • Food grade Tin product knowledge
  • Market & Customer Management:
  • Expertise in new customer management, from lead generation to closing and onboarding.
  • Ability to identify market synergy between product lines and customer segments.
  • Strategic Planning & Analysis:
  • Hands‑on experience in strategic sales and marketing planning, including territory planning, pricing strategies, and campaign execution.
  • Strong analytical skills for market analysis, demand forecasting, and performance evaluation.
  • Systems & Tools:
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP, in sales, order, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and data‑driven sales reporting.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with technical and commercial teams, as well as external customers.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration ability across departments in a manufacturing organization.
  • Proactive and detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on execution and follow‑through.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or PG qualification is an advantage.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in B2B sales, marketing, or business development within mechanical / industrial products or metal‑based packaging.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, or EPC sectors will be highly valued.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is mandatory.



Work Environment

  • Field‑based and office‑based role with regular travel across India to meet customers, distributors.
  • Collaborative and performance‑driven culture focused on innovation, quality, and sustainability in metal packaging.
