Sous Chef

Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced and passionate Continental Sous Chef to support kitchen operations and ensure high-quality Continental food preparation. The candidate will assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen activities, maintaining food quality standards, supervising staff, and ensuring smooth daily operations. A Sous Chef is typically second-in-command in the kitchen and supports overall kitchen management.

Key Responsibilities:• Supervise and coordinate preparation of Continental cuisine dishes

• Ensure food quality, taste, consistency, and presentation standards

• Assist in menu planning and recipe development

• Monitor kitchen hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards

• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff

• Manage kitchen inventory, stock levels, and procurement requirements

• Control food cost and minimize wastage

• Ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours

• Handle staff scheduling and kitchen coordination

• Maintain compliance with health and safety guidelines

Requirements:• 5–8+ years of experience in Continental cuisine, including leadership experience

• Strong knowledge of Continental cooking techniques, sauces, grills, roasts, pasta, and plating standards

• Ability to lead kitchen teams in high-volume operations

• Good communication and time-management skills

• Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards
