Job Description
Team Leader – Tea / Spices / Dry Fruits (Retail),
Role Overview
The Team Leader will manage day-to-day operations of the tea, spices, and dry fruits section, ensuring high product quality, strong sales performance, and excellent customer experience. This role involves team supervision, inventory control, and product knowledge leadership.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the tea/spices/dry fruits section
- Ensure proper display, cleanliness, and stock rotation (FIFO)
- Maintain hygiene and storage standards (especially for perishable dry fruits)
- Supervise and train sales staff
- Assign daily tasks and monitor performance
- Motivate team to achieve sales targets
- Monitor stock levels and place orders
- Coordinate with vendors/suppliers
- Ensure quality checks for incoming stock
Maintain strong knowledge of:
- Tea categories (green, black, herbal, premium blends)
- Spices (origin, freshness, usage)
- Dry fruits (grades, sourcing, storage)
Previous Experience in Retail, Hospitality is must
Experience with brands like:
- Sancha Tea
- Vahdam India
- Happilo
- Tea Culture
