Job Description
- Key Responsibilities
- Procure materials (SS, MS, alloy steel, aluminum, etc.) from the local market
- Visit Darukhana and other Mumbai steel markets regularly
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Identify new suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing
- Inspect material quality at vendor locations before purchase
- Coordinate with internal team for requirements and timely procurement
- Ensure proper documentation, billing, and purchase records
- Monitor market trends and price fluctuations
- Requirements
- Experience in metal industry purchasing preferred (Freshers with strong interest can apply)
- Good knowledge of Mumbai steel market / Darukhana is a plus
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Willingness to travel daily within Mumbai markets
- Basic understanding of material grades and quality (training will be provided)
- Honest, reliable, and responsible attitude
