The Testing Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions. This position is responsible for defining and implementing robust test strategies, managing diverse testing teams, and driving continuous improvement in quality assurance practices. The role involves overseeing all aspects of test planning, execution, and reporting ensuring compliance.
The successful candidate will lead strategic testing initiatives, including automation, performance optimization, and risk-based testing approaches. Requires strong leadership and communication skills with development, operations, and business teams. In addition, the Testing Manager will leverage AI and automation tools to optimize testing processes, improve efficiency, and provide predictive insights into potential defects and performance issues.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies and plans for projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Manage end-to-end testing activities, including functional, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing, to guarantee high-quality deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, developers, and business analysts to validate requirements and ensure test coverage meets business needs.
- Oversee defect management processes, including triage, prioritization, and resolution, to minimize impact on delivery timelines.
- Prepare and present detailed test reports, dashboards, and quality metrics to stakeholders, providing actionable insights for decision-making.
- Leverage AI-driven tools and automation frameworks to enhance test coverage, reduce manual effort, and accelerate execution timelines.
- Identify opportunities for AI integration in predictive defect analysis, risk-based testing, and performance optimization.
- Manage testing resources, schedules, and budgets effectively to meet project timelines and financial constraints.
- Support risk identification and mitigation strategies related to quality and delivery, ensuring proactive issue resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the testing function, promoting innovation and best practices across teams.
Foundational Skills:
- Proven track record of leading comprehensive testing strategies to ensure high-quality deliverables, with the ability to manage multiple testing cycles and teams concurrently while meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, JIRA), automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress), and MS Office applications.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, governance frameworks, and compliance standards, with experience in Agile and DevOps environments.
- Knowledge of AI concepts and practical experience using AI-powered tools (i.e. Copilot) for test optimization, defect prediction, or automation.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in Financial Services, especially Investment Banking and Global Markets Operations.
- Familiarity with SharePoint workflows and document management.
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and security testing methodologies.
