Assistant Manager - Safety
Responsibilities
Assist in Safety Protocol Development:
Work with the Associate to implement and review safety protocols specific to construction activities in civil projects, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
Recommend updates to safety protocols based on observed hazards and changes in regulations or project conditions.
Conduct Routine Site Safety Inspections:
Perform daily inspections of construction sites to ensure workers are adhering to established safety standards and procedures.
Identify potential hazards and report them to the Associate, proposing immediate actions to mitigate risks.
Support Incident Response and Reporting:
Assist in responding to safety incidents on-site by securing the area, documenting the event, and supporting the investigation led by the Associate.
Ensure all safety reports are completed accurately and submitted to the appropriate authorities in a timely manner.
Coordinate Safety Training Sessions:
Organize and participate in safety training and awareness sessions for workers, ensuring they are familiar with safety regulations, equipment usage, and emergency procedures.
Monitor the effectiveness of the training by observing on-site behavior and providing feedback to improve safety practices.
Safety Documentation and Compliance Support:
Maintain and update safety records, inspection logs, and incident reports to ensure compliance with both regulatory and internal safety requirements.
Assist in preparing reports for regulatory audits, ensuring all safety documentation is accurate and up to date.

Qualifications
Education Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), NEBOSH, or equivalent safety standards preferred.
Work Experience:
3-5 years of experience in project safety within the construction industry, preferably in civil engineering projects related to airports or infrastructure.
