•Proposed designation : Associate Consultant•Role type : Individual contributor•Reporting to : Assistant Manager•Geo to be supported : GlobalRoles & responsibilities
As an Associate Consultant in our team you will be responsible, amongst other things for:
•Supporting in the delivery of infrastructure valuation projects for sectors such as power & utilities, transportation & social infrastructure•Support in developing and reviewing detailed financial models and perform in-depth financial analysis using various valuation methodologies (Public company analysis, Precedent transaction analysis, and Discounted cash flow)•Support in preparing high-quality client deliverables, including clear Valuation reports and presentations•Understanding the delivery models applied to the infrastructure projects lifecycle across construction, operations, financing & refinancing phases•Support in monitoring market trends, regulatory developments and transaction comparable in the infrastructure sector and benchmark valuation assumptions (discount rates, risk premiums, multiples) using market data•Support in actively building and managing the relationships and interface with Global KPMG Infrastructure teams and other deal advisory professionals•Supporting KPMG onshore teams and contributing to knowledge management to support practice developmentEducational qualifications
•MBA / PGDBM / CFA/CAPrior experience
•Relevant experience (1-2 years) gained in either Valuations, Corporate Finance, Infrastructure Investment, Fund-raising, Project Finance or similar deal experience in the relevant sector/ propositions (as applicable)Mandatory technical & functional skills
•Good understanding of valuation methodologies (Comparable company, Precedent transaction, DCF, etc.)•Be skilled in valuation and financial analysis•Basic experience in financial modelling•Good report writing skills•Financial analysis and interpretation, in particular DCF methods (NPV and IRR)•Support in preparing infrastructure models from scratch and/or have experience into model audits/reviews•Have basic knowledge of financing structures, particularly debt and equity finance and other types of project-based financing•Have an ability to interpret and present outputs from financial models to support the commercial advice to onshore/client•Good working knowledge of accounting and financial statements•Strong problem-solving skills; Knowledge of advanced functions in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint & MS WordKey behavioral attributes/requirements
•Personal drive and positive attitude to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations•Effective written and verbal communication skills and good inter-personal skills to work effectively in a team•Ability to multi-task and handle pressure situationsExperience Level
