Description
Manager – Global Tax Operations (Information Reporting, Withholding & FATCA/CRS)
Location: Hyderabad, India
Coverage: US EST hours through 5:00 PM ET
Experience: 12–15 years
Position Overview
The Tax Operations Manager is a senior member of Cantor Fitzgerald’s Global Tax Operations organization, reporting directly to the Head of Global Tax Operations. The role oversees operational execution and control governance across U.S. withholding (FDAP/NRA, FATCA, backup), information reporting (Forms 1042, 1042-S, 1099, 945), FATCA/CRS due diligence, Financial Transaction Taxes (FTT), reconciliations, exceptions, deposits, and global regulatory compliance.
Tax form validation (W-8/W-9) is performed by an external service provider. The Manager is responsible for ensuring correct data flow, monitoring completeness and accuracy of the provider’s output, reviewing exceptions, escalating issues, and maintaining strong documentation and withholding controls. The Manager must possess deep technical knowledge of how tax form validation is supposed to work, even though they do not perform validations themselves.
The ideal candidate brings a process-improvement mindset, strong data and control capability, excellent team management skills, and a high-ownership, follow-through mentality.

- Perform reconciliations across withholding, Tax reporting files (1099/1042-S, 945, 1042) documentation systems, and deposit accounts.
- Oversee external service provider outputs, ensuring they meet quality, control, and procedural expectations.
- Identify control gaps and lead remediation and standardization initiatives.
Technology, Process Optimization & Automation
