Brief introduction - Role Summary/Purpose :

Creating the future of consumer safety and innovation, you will lead end-to-end analytical planning and implementation at our ambitious IGTeD center. Owning the partnership between local and global product development teams, you will ensure our Personal Care and Home Care categories meet the highest global standards for quality and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will transform complex data into strategic insights, driving root cause analysis and raw material qualifications that impact Colgate zones worldwide

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive advanced analytical expertise for stability projects and raw material qualifications by collaborating directly with procurement, suppliers, and global product development scientists.

  • Execute method development, validation, and tech transfers to manufacturing plants while ensuring 100% compliance with cGMP norms and safety requirements.

  • Analyze and troubleshoot experimental formulas, finished products, and competitive samples using high-end instrumentation to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

  • Lead the maintenance, calibration, and qualification of laboratory instrumentation while managing partnerships with external labs for specialized analytical techniques.

  • Strategize on technical breakthroughs by staying abreast of industry trends, patent filings, and scientific literature to proactively identify and solve complex formulation problems.

Required  Qualifications :

  • Education: M.Sc. in Analytical Science, Inorganic/Organic Chemistry, Bioanalytical Chemistry, or a related scientific field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of professional experience in an analytical laboratory environment.

  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of LCMS, ICP, HPLC, GC, and FTIR.

  • Compliance: Proven working experience operating within cGMP norms and maintaining rigorous documentation practices.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Industry Experience: Previous experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or FMCG industry is highly preferred.

  • Communication: Strong business presentation skills and the ability to communicate technical data to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Leadership & Agility: Proven ability to handle complex business programs independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

  • Collaboration: A collaborative mindset with the ability to integrate seamlessly into high-performing, cross-functional teams.

  • Problem Solving: Creative approach to troubleshooting and the ability to give and seek feedback through coaching programs.
