Consultant, CPAM - Risk Management

About ICA

As one of fastest growing practice in DAS, Infrastructure and Climate Advisory (ICA) team at KGS invites like-minded professionals to help us drive progress and change. At KGS ICA practice, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team across a range of industries to assist public and private sector organizations involved in infrastructure to deliver desired outcomes, for society and businesses. We are the Centre of Excellence for KPMG’s Global practices, helping our clients to develop better understanding of the evolving policy and regulatory environment, business and commercial risks, as well as providing commercial and strategic advice on complex infrastructure and capital projects. You will work on a wide range of infrastructure sectors including transportation, digital and social infrastructure (education, healthcare), with diverse clientage a diverse range of clientele such as public sector entities, infrastructure owners, project developers, large corporates, contractors, equity investors, and financers.

The role will be based out of KPMG’s Gurugram, Bengaluru, and Mumbai offices and liaise cross-functionally with leaders across the business to drive internal and external engagement.

Proposed designation: Consultant•Role type: Individual contributor•Reporting to: Assistant Manager/ Manager  

Mandatory  technical & functional skills

•Strong experience in leading and managing tasks that include monitoring, reporting, scheduling, cost control, risks management, change control, opportunities for improvement and implement project controls best practices•Develop and maintain integrated Risk Registers, Risk Management Plans, and Mitigation Strategies to ensure effective risk governance across project and program lifecycles•Support business development efforts by delivering strategic risk assessments and insights that strengthen competitive bid quality•Conduct independent risk assurance reviews to evaluate the robustness, compliance, and maturity of risk management practices across portfolios•Generate comprehensive risk reports and dashboards to enhance visibility and support informed decision-making at all levels•Facilitate structured risk identification and assessment workshops, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk appetite and objectives•Perform Qualitative Risk Analysis using tailored frameworks and methodologies to evaluate risk probability, impact, and prioritization•Execute Quantitative Risk Analysis (QCRA and QSRA) leveraging tools such as Monte Carlo simulations to determine probabilistic outcomes and establish appropriate contingency reserves•Proficient in the use of Industry Risk Management tools (ARM, Xactium, RiskHive, Predict etc.), Microsoft Office Suite•Knowledge of different software including Power BI, Alteryx, Scheduling tools, BIM and Power Apps (preferred)

•Personal drive and positive attitude to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations•Effective written and verbal communication skills and good inter-personal skills to work effectively in a team

Interview process: 3 round of interviews and 1 case study

•Ensure high-quality deliverables within set plans, budgets, and standards•Supporting client engagements with minimal supervision from senior team members, as necessary•Identification of client's potential challenges and issues in an engagement and proactively presenting initial solutions•Assist in developing thought leadership materials to enhance market intelligence and sector knowledge•Stay informed on industry trends, competitor moves, and product/service developments to maintain competitive edge•Independently engage with both domestic and global stakeholders, managing expectations and prioritizing work effectively•Demonstrate strong multi-tasking abilities, working efficiently with geographically dispersed teams in a fast-paced environment

This role is for you if you have  the below

Educational qualifications

•MBA’s, Postgraduates and Engineers from a leading Indian/International educational institutions or hold a risk management qualification (MOR, APM Risk, IRM)

Prior Experience

•Relevant infrastructure sectors and/or experience of 4-6 years gained in global research and consulting firms•Demonstrable experience in conducting Quantitative Risk Analysis (QCRA & QSRA) using tools such as Safran, Primavera Risk Analyser, @riskideally in infrastructure of one of our priority sectors of transport, defence, power and utilities or nuclear
