• This position is within the Business Finance area which is part of Group Finance.
• The successful candidate will be primarily involved in the build out of the Equity Distribution business area from a Finance perspective.
• Equity Distribution is an important strategic goal for Deutsche Bank in 2026-2027 with key deliverables being the expansion of secondary trading and execution capabilities in Europe and APAC and enhancement of the US franchise.

Your key responsibilities

• As such, there are numerous key deliverables in which Group Finance are key stakeholders, and the successful candidate will be expected to play a critical role in ensuring Finance’s interests are addressed and our stakeholders requirements are delivered with the appropriate control and governance.
• This is expected to be achieved by the candidate’s involvement in relevant working groups (OpCos, SteerCos etc), interaction with stakeholders (business partners, reps from other functional areas etc), interaction with and oversight of the relevant Mumbai Finance team members, and co-ordination with IBCM and IB Finance management.
• The successful candidate, in the near term, will also play an important role in stabilising the LDCM Business Finance function as a result of on-shore Finance resourcing constraints.
• In this role, the candidate would materially contribute to “run the bank” business finance responsibilities such as business advisory, transaction review and analysis, financial planning and analyses, control framework review, regulatory and accounting guidance and review, and interaction with and oversight of the Mumbai LDCM team where appropriate. Further, the successful candidate would be expected to be conversant with the responsibilities of other functional areas (Risk Mgmt, MVRM, Operations, Treasury, Regional Finance etc)  such that they can liaise with those colleagues on broader issues affecting the LDCM and IBCM business areas.
• Over time, the expectation is that the stabilisation of the LDCM Business Finance function will likely coincide with the “go-live” of certain milestones within the Equity Distribution expansion. 

Your skills and experience

• Strong Accounting skills;
• Sound knowledge of capital markets products;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Experience dealing with front office on P&L and business related issues;
• Strong time management skills;
• Ability to manage diverse team.
• Strong systems and data capability, with hands-on expertise in financial data, DB systems (or ability to quickly onboard), and advanced MS Excel skills, exposure to AI will be beneficial, and or ability to adapt and learn emerging tools in the organisation.
