The Field Specialist III -LWD serving as technical support Engineer ensures Baker Hughes delivers flawless execution by providing Technical Support to the Service Delivery and Sales organizations when needed in pre-planning, job execution, and post job analysis.
As Service Field Specialist III -LWD, you will be responsible for:
- Deliver reactive MWD/LWD technical support across all Baker Hughes Drilling Services products and services.
- Provide training and mentorship to Field Service Engineers (FSEs), Remote Operators (ROs), and junior Technical Support Engineers.
- Collaborate with Reliability engineers. Actively contribute to knowledge sharing and lessons learned across.
- Support the development, field testing, and integration of new technologies.
- Participate in and promote knowledge management initiatives within Drilling Services.
- Serve as a liaison between regional teams and global groups for technology development and enhancement.
- Drive continuous improvement in the performance of Drilling Services tools and services.
- Ensure adherence to Baker Hughes’ global standards, policies, and procedures across all supported areas.
- Comply with and promote the company’s Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Management System.
- Ensure compliance with Manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process. Subject Matter Expert for their area of support
- Support the field technically through different media (online , phone calls and technical papers). 24/7 Support for Critical Operations in the field when needed
- Share the knowledge across the organization by submitting best practices, case histories & lessons learned to the knowledge management database.
- Follow up on field failures that requires Technology involvement and ensure that the learning is shared across the field.
- Raise an alert across the Service Delivery organization whenever an unfamiliar technical issue arises on a job. Coach other technical resources in their area of expertise.
- Communicate to Engineering and Technology organization on issues and lessons learned related to different technologies.
- Handles special projects as required. Thorough understanding of PL technology and Service Delivery requirements
- Significant operational experience. End to End knowledge of the drilling and completion process is an advantage
- Ability to learn and use various computer tools to prepare data and visualizations for analysis.

- Bachelor’s degree in science, technology or engineering
- Have minimum 5 years of experience Oil and Gas Industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Have ability to manage day to day operations & LEAD the TS station tower.
- Displays initiative, is self-driven & flexible
- Ability to develop and mentor others
- Availability on call outside of normal business hours
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently
