Senior SAP Project Systems Consultant

Job Summary 

We are seeking an experienced SAP PS (Project Systems) Consultant to join our SAP Consulting practice. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in SAP PS with experience in implementing, supporting, and optimizing project management solutions across industries. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, design SAP PS solutions, and support end-to-end project lifecycle management. 

Responsibilities 

• Lead and participate in SAP PS implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects. 

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into SAP PS solutions. 

• Configure SAP Project Systems including: 

• Project Structures (WBS, Networks, Activities) 

• Project Planning and Budgeting 

• Cost Planning and Revenue Planning 

• Resource Planning 

• Milestone Billing 

• Progress Analysis 

• Settlement and Period-End Closing 

• Work closely with cross-functional teams integrating SAP PS with modules such as FI, CO, MM, SD, PM, PP, and EPPM where applicable. 

• Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and coordinate with technical teams. 

• Perform system testing, integration testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). 

• Conduct workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer for business users. 

• Support cutover planning, go-live activities, and hypercare support. 

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend SAP best practices. 

• Prepare project documentation including configuration documents, functional specifications, test scripts, and user manuals. 

• Provide production support and resolve business-critical issues within defined SLAs. 

• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to capability development. 

Required Skills 

• 7–15 years of SAP functional consulting experience with strong expertise in SAP Project Systems (PS). 

• Hands-on experience in multiple end-to-end SAP implementation projects. 

• Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, costing, scheduling, and settlement processes. 

• Experience with SAP PS integration with FI/CO, MM, SD, PM, PP, and Asset Accounting. 

• Understanding of project accounting and financial controlling concepts. 

• Experience in preparing functional specifications for RICEFW developments. 

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. 

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment with multiple client engagements. 

Mandatory skill sets: 

• • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Project Systems. 

    Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications related to Project Systems. 

    Exposure to SAP EPPM, Portfolio and Project Management (PPM), or Commercial Project Management (CPM) is an advantage. 

    SAP PS certification is preferred. 

Preferred Skill sets: 

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Project Systems. 

  Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications related to Project Systems. 

  Exposure to SAP EPPM, Portfolio and Project Management (PPM), or Commercial Project Management (CPM) is an advantage. 

  SAP PS certification is preferred.
