The Position

Position - Lead Digital Pathology & Sequencing

Your Opportunity

This position is responsible for P&L management of the Commercial Operations Business Area for Digital Pathology & Sequencing in India and for developing, directing, and ensuring successful development and execution of its vision and strategy. This position is responsible for driving organic top line growth, leading new business development opportunities, and achieving efficient business performance in addition to demonstrating and instilling leadership values across team. This position partners with Roche Diagnostics colleagues nationally and to secure the long-term success of the business. Direct report to the Head Pathology Sales- India.

Provides people direction and mentorship for team. Sets strategic vision and direction; develops and implements strategic plans and objectives for the function in alignment with RDIN strategy. Typically has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and approving changes to methods and practices for assigned business area. Decisions impact the entire Division.

Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

Role Responsibilities:
Business Development

• Establish Roche Digital Pathology & Sequencing leadership and business in India, through business development, Partnerships and building relationship with Key Opinion Leaders in field of Digital Pathology & Sequencing.
• Market development & conversion of prospects and opportunities, to help sales achieve targeted sales growth

Strategic Planning

• Establish Roche DP experience curves in customer needs, competitive positioning, & business economics, commercial modelling & clinical evidence in India

Solution Architecture

• Develop customer-specific strategies for Roche Digital pathology & Sequencing adoption; working closely with Histopathology laboratory/administrative leadership and pathology staff to develop and scope their Digital Pathology & Sequencing transformation.
• Provide subject matter expertise in pre and post sales capacity.

Project Management & Implementation

• Establish new & effective operation approaches & interfaces within Roche functional groups (Sales/marketing, Service, Workflow) & external service provider for achieving desired Implementation.
• Work closely with sales team on presales engagements, drive turnkey solution package proposals, including workflow design (Histopathology & Sequencing set ups), and associated external requirement on network, IP, storage etc.

Who You Are:

You will have a successful and considerable proven track record in leading people, preferably acquired in the healthcare industry. To be considered for this role, you will need Degree educated or equivalent in engineering, scientific or related field and to evidence your success in service delivery; a proven track record of developing strong relationships with key stakeholders to the highest decision making level leading to successful business outcomes. A strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to prioritize and deliver, you can drive change and adoption of new concepts.
With confidence and passion, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to communicate with maximum impact.
Resilient, tenacious, you strive under pressure, working effectively as part of a close-knit team in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines. With strong analytical skills, you are at ease working with technical and scientific information.
This position offers exposure to wider Roche organization at all levels and therefore you must have the qualities to make a positive, professional impact in a matrix environment and win the hearts and minds internally.

Experience Required: 8+ years of experience in field of Digital pathology / Sequencing of which at least 5 years should be in a Multinational Company.
