Job Purpose: Head - Plant & Maintenance manage all plant and maintenance functions for precast operations, ensuring seamless availability, performance, and longevity of equipment and infrastructure. The role demands deep technical expertise in precast technologies and international equipment standards, strategic vendor management, and strong financial planning for equipment maintenance.

Strategic Maintenance Planning:

Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for precast equipment and facilities. Ensure alignment of maintenance strategies with production demands, safety standards, and organizational objectives.

Equipment Management & Lifecycle Optimization:

Oversee the complete lifecycle of all critical equipment including procurement, commissioning, operation, and decommissioning. Monitor asset performance, implement condition-based monitoring, and manage equipment utilization to ensure minimum downtime and optimal ROI.

Precast Technology:

Apply advanced precast technology to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce manual interventions. Select and integrate modern machinery sourced from global vendors (e.g., China, Finland, Germany) to maintain competitive advantage in productivity and precision.

Vendor Management:

Establish and maintain robust relationships with OEMs and international vendors for supply, service, upgrades, and warranty support. Negotiate Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and oversee service delivery and spare availability through third-party vendors and subcontractors.

Process Improvement:

Identify recurring issues, downtime trends, and bottlenecks; initiate root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.Drive lean maintenance practices and explore automation or digitalization opportunities to enhance plant efficiency.

Budget Management:

Plan and control the maintenance budget, including spare parts, AMC costs, capital repairs, and emergency provisions. Seek necessary capex/opex approvals in advance for annual maintenance requirements and align costs with business forecasts.

Stakeholder Management:

Act as the primary interface with internal teams and external stakeholders.Provide regular reports to senior management on plant availability, cost variances, equipment performance, and improvement initiatives.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain documentation for equipment history, maintenance schedules, inspection records, and vendor audits for traceability and audits.

Safety Compliance:

Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and statutory regulations within all plant maintenance activities to safeguard personnel, equipment, and infrastructure. Monitor and enforce compliance with national and international safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO, RTO norms) to ensure legal and environmental obligations are met.

Risk Management:

Conduct periodic safety audits, hazard identifications, and implement corrective measures to eliminate risks and promote a culture of zero-accident operations.

Team Development:

Build a high-performing team. Set clear KPIs, track progress, and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Promote a respectful and safe workplace, lead collaborative and productive teams, and mentor for growth and success. Tracks and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital business success.

Educational Qualification:

B.tech/ Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering

Work Experience:

25-30 years with construction equipments and in precast 15 years of experience
