Synopsis of the role :
The Country TPO & Sourcing Specialist, in coordination with the Regional Sourcing Leader, will deliver Third Party Oversight (TPO) and Strategic Sourcing Services, providing best-in-class technologies and processes in support of the procurement and contracts management process within India. Provide innovative and strategic sourcing strategies for indirect spend, support the vendor due diligence, risk assessment, management and supplier quality management process.
Coordinate and support third-party procurement operations, governance, oversight, and audit activities. This position must collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient process operations and leverage of cross-process synergies. The incumbent also monitors process performance and prioritizes and drives process-related decisions. Additionally, accountable for ensuring process compliance with all relevant legislation and company procedures.

As assigned, Negotiate, develop, and manage contracts for various products and services managed by the GSRE organization. As needed, this position is responsible to provide support to the local/regional strategic sourcing process, managing high value spot orders, developing/negotiating/monitoring supplier agreements, developing and maintaining supplier relationships, developing sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, developing and implementing processes and procedures to manage assigned commodities, managing total cost of ownership for assigned commodities, and integrating knowledge and skills across geographies and purchasing commodities.
Support the Regional strategy and processes for managing external service providers. Conducts sourcing, selection, analysis, and develops contracts.


What you’ll do

  • Work closely with TPO & Global Sourcing leaders

  • As needed, provide assistance to business unit representatives on the third-party life cycle processes.

  • Collaborating with the stakeholders to ensure resources are properly trained on processes, policies, and systems.

  • Establish program reporting protocols through defining reporting metrics, delivering reporting analytics, creating reporting dashboards and other reporting outputs as needed to communicate program key performance indicators  (KPI) and status.

  • Guide & educate internal stakeholders in the TPO process.

  • Be part of the execution of the procurement process that includes regionalizing sourcing strategy, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier implementation, by leveraging Spend across Business Units by implementation of National and International agreements, when applicable, in order to reduce cost and increase efficiency. Localize and implement sourcing strategies based on market analysis, business requirements, and Global Procurement objectives.  

  • Participate actively in the process improvement and process re-engineering initiatives that are focused on reducing costs and/or improving service or operations.

  • Develop & improve internal relationships (Relationship Management)

  • Develop & improve spend analytics reporting.

  • Collaborate closely with internal business customers and suppliers on the strategy and execution of sourcing projects.

  • As directed, jointly lead or lead cross-functional management to plan sourcing strategies and supplier management programs aligned with business objectives.

  • Pro-actively seek value/savings and efficiency opportunities across category spend; negotiate and report in appropriate format.

  • Report progress on a weekly basis, indicating work planning and work in progress.

  • Drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives.

  • Applies supplier relationship management techniques to ensure the supply base is providing required level of services, including but not limited to supplier business reviews, spend analytics, etc.

  • High attention to detail and the exercise of sound judgment and decision-making

  • Self-motivated to achieve results without requiring constant follow-up

  • Reorders priorities on short-notice and adapts to changing requirements.

What experience you need

Qualification/Experience required for this role

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field or six or more years of work experience

  • Experience in sourcing or contract management.

  • Project Management experience.

  • Sound understanding of procurement practices and techniques.

  • Comfort with noisy or incomplete data.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle.

  • Familiarity with financial statements and/or cost accounting

Skill set required for the role

  • Extensive experience in Procurement/Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation experience. 

  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing processes, policies, procedures, category strategy, supplier segmentation and supplier risk.

  • Experience with competitive bids and RFPs as well as direct negotiations.

  • Highly motivated self-starter.  

  • Drives for results.  

  • Deals well with ambiguity.  

  • Outstanding quantitative skills.  

  • Thinks strategically.  

  • Innovative.  

  • Purchasing systems and order management software knowledge.

  • Familiarity with BI reporting and spend analysis.

  • Deals well to work under pressure.
