We are seeking a seasoned BSA/AML Compliance Data Analyst with a strong blend of financial crime domain expertise and advanced data analytics capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of dedicated BSA/AML compliance experience within an overall 5+ years of professional work history. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of compliance and technology, designing and deploying data-driven solutions that strengthen our AML and Fraud detection frameworks. You will work closely with compliance, risk, and technology teams to build smarter monitoring systems, drive meaningful risk insights, and ensure alignment with applicable regulatory requirements across banking, insurance, and wealth management operations.

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Design and deploy data driven solutions for AML and Fraud detection using Python, SQL, etc.

• Lead transaction segmentation, rule tuning and KPI framework development

• Collaborate cross functionally with compliance and tech teams to enhance monitoring systems and drive risk insights

• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, SQL, Python, Tableau and Nice Actimize or other AML solutions

• Strong data analytics/data science skills

• Superior verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge of applicable AML regulations and general banking/insurance/wealth management operations

Educational Requirements

• University (Degree) Preferred

• 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred

Must Have Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on BSA/AML compliance experience

• Strong working knowledge of SQL and Python

• Strong data analytics and data science skills

• Proficiency in Tableau or equivalent visualization tools

• Knowledge of AML regulations and financial services operations

• Superior verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with Nice Actimize or other enterprise AML platforms

• Prior experience in AML rule tuning and alert optimization

• Exposure to machine learning models applied to financial crime detection

• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across compliance and technology teams

• Familiarity with fraud typologies and detection methodologies
